Bio:
I discovered my love for photography at a very young age. Ever since i can remember i was running around with a disposable camera, taking pictures of everything. I got my own non-disposible camera at the age of 9, shooting film after film. That's right, i might be quite young, but i predate the digital era. I learned everything the old way, ISO sensitivity, aperture, diafragma, shutter speed, the analogue way. My favorite film to work with back in the days was a ISO 400 Black & White film. You can still find some pictures i scanned from back in the days using that fantastic film type in my gallery.
I started to explore more sides of photography, defining my own style. I love high contrast photography because i like to show the multiverse of colours the world has to offer, in a clear way. And for me it just feels right this way.... I spent some years capturing live performances but decided to drop this, it was just not my thing. When i bought my 1st digital reflex camera, a Pentax K100D, i tried out so much different photography styles. I can say now for clear, arty photography is not where i am going. My prefference for model photography goes out to the portrait, in a wide sence of the term. There are so manny ideas for shoots comming to me every day. Since i have a love for military style clothing and go party in the Goth/Cyber/Industrial subculture you can see those are very present in my portfolio. But i don't limit myself to annything.
To me, a shoot with a model has to be fun for them. They have to be at ease. A tense model equals bad pictures in my opinion. When i work in my studio at home, i allways ask the models to bring their own music which i play while shooting. I noticed people tend to let go more when you play music they like. A good slice of humor can do wonders too. No smile is as beautifull as a real one.
